Up for auction is an authentic Civil War boot heel plate made of brass with a star cut-out. Appears to be excavated but may just have a lot of oxidation. This type of heel plate is found in early war camps of both armies. There are other types of designs found like a shamrock or heart. Ex. Ron Wolford collection. Ron was a long time collector and digger from the Hagerstown/Sharpsburg MD. area. He passed away in December of last year. We combine postage on multiple lots. Authenticity guaranteed. No reserve!!
