You are purchasing 100mg, 0.1g of Palladium (II) Bromide high purity, manufactured by “Johnson Matthey Electronics” a very respected company which supplies laboratory chemicals. This is not scrap Palladium, this is high purity refined palladium ready to use as a catalyst or heated in a furnace to produce high purity palladium metal. If you want to be discreet then palladium salts are perfect because to the untrained eye this is just some brownish red looking powder.
If you plan to use it for research purposes, this reagent can be used in the Wacker Oxidation to form double bond oxygen molecules. Along with a hundred different uses as a catalyst.
As we all know, palladium just seems to keep on rising in value, I don’t see that changing because palladium is by far much more superior than platinum as a catalyst not to mention safer so that is why platinum has gone down in value and palladium has risin!
