Description

Nabisco Straight Arrow Rite-a-Lite Flashlight.
2" wide by 2.75" long heavy gold plastic with interior compartment to hold a battery, which allows a bulb in the front end to light. This 1951 premium was offered only briefly as there were material restrictions due to the Korean War. The concept was to swivel the end cap to make the bulb flash on and off thereby sending signals. The end cap is the critical piece of this premium as it was frequently lost and most surviving examples are without it.  ***One side tab of the cap is broken off, but the cap still stays on securely.  Each side of the main barrel has raised portraits of Straight Arrow along with his name. Note the side edge of the end cap has the secret club word "Ta-Wato-Kao".  This is a rare and hard to find item, especially in this condition, as many of these would end up with a lost cap.
