I'VE FOUND THESE ONLINE FROM 1865 MADE OF GOLD AND SILVER, BUT THIS ONE IS MADE OF STEEL and i found no others made of steel
I was unable to find a source that sells these as reproductions
(which I would expect to be aluminum or brass today)
I'll consider it as being rare from 1865 until someone is able to school me with their knowledge.
