Offered is this lovely porcelain china reamer or juicer with under pitcher made in Japan by Lipper. The pattern is called Blue Danube.
Blue Danube is a highly regarded replica of the 19
th
century German Meissen pattern called Blue Onion. The Blue Onion pattern features cobalt blue Oriental designs on a white blank.
The reamer has a round shape that fits over the rim of the pitcher or under bowl, capturing the seeds in the reamer while the juice flows through. The spout of the bowl allows the juice to be poured into the recipe or measuring cup.
This china was produced shortly after World War II and remained in production into the Twenty-First century.
The piece stands 3.5 inches tall (9 cm) from the tabletop to the point on the reamer. The pitcher or bowl measures 5.25 inches (13.5 cm) from handle to spout. It stands 1.75 inches high (4.5 cm).
Very good used condition with no chips or cracks.
