Linen postcard, the front of which reads "#H-1523, "The Grand Canyon, Arizona".

This postcard is from a painting done by Christian Jorgensen. Jorgensen was best known for his paintings of the National Parks and California Missions.
The back of the card has the Fred Harvey Hotels-Shops-Restaurants logo at the top left edge and reads, " This painting was made at the foot of Bright Angel Trail 6,866 feet below El Tovar on the rim. The commanding peak of the view is Zoroaster's Temple 7,136 feet in elevation, but whose tip is not even the level with the Canyon Rim." The back of the card also reads, "Copyright by Fred Harvey" and has the number 7A-H656 at the bottom center edge.
The card has a very light, nearly unnoticeable crease across the upper left corner. The card also has just the slightest amount of wear in all four corners.

condition per grading standard below, but please look carefully at the scans of both the front and back sides of the card and judge the condition for yourself.
The card is postally unused and standard postcard size.

Mint Condition
– A near perfect card which is either new or is just as it would have come from being factory printed. The card has no creases or tears and the corners are sharp and not worn. The card also has no noticeable marks, writing, or postmarks. A clean, fresh card.
Excellent
- Card is very near mint in overall appearance and has no noticeable creases, surface imperfections, or tears. The corners also have no surface wear or rounding. The card may or may not be postally used and has the proper message and address usage for its age. The card has no postmark impression or postmark bleed on the front surface. The card may or may not have album impressions in all four corners from being stored in an album. The card is clean with a fresh, sharp face image.
Very Good
– Card has some very minor, nearly unnoticeable, creases, bends, or surface imperfections which do not detract from the overall appearance of the front or back faces of the card. The card is not ripped or torn. The card may have some very minor surface wear or small creases in the corners. The card may or may not be postally used and has the proper message and address usage for its age. The card may or may not have a faint postmark impression or very light postmark bleed on the front face. The card may or may not have album impressions in all four corners from being stored in an album. The card is clean with an overall fresh appearing face image. A card which would be a perfect addition to a collection.
Good
– Card has some noticeable creases, bends, or surface imperfections which may somewhat affect the overall appearance of either the face image or back side. The card may or may not have some very small tears or noticeable areas of surface wear. The corners of the card may have surface wear and appear rounded or somewhat blunt. The card may or may not be postally used. The card may have a noticeable postmark impression or noticeable postmark bleed on the front face. The card may or may not have noticeable surface impressions in all four corners from being stored in an album.
Fair
– Card is complete and has no missing corners or severe tears. The card may have very noticeable surface stains, creases, bends, or surface imperfections which affect the overall appearance of either the face image or backside of the card. The corners are heavily creased and rounded. The card may have a very noticeable postmark impression and heavy postmark staining affecting the face image. The card may have heavy album impressions. Card may be a scare example that is difficult to find and may be the perfect gap filler until another card becomes available.
