    Description

    The following item is a recently recovered Civil War cannonball fragment recovered on the battlefields of Central Virginia. This large fragment weighs nearly a whopping 3 lbs. and measures 4 inches long. On the inside you can see the fuse cavity with the grooves where the fuse screwed in. We obtained this one out of Gettysburg, Pennsylvania from a dealer who uses only one digger for all their relics. This one was originally in rusted dug condition. We cleaned it up and treated it with a process that restores the iron and prevents any further rusting. It is not coated with any primer or shellac in any way. Our treatment restores it back to it's original look and it was stay that way for many years to come. This one is nice in all aspects and will ship free anywhere in the Continental U.S.
