    Description

    The following items are authentic fragments of a Civil War James Shell. These were dug on the Battlefield of Monett's Ferry in Louisiana (private property w/permission of landowner). These two pieces are from what is referred to as "The Birdcage".  It is rare to find any pieces from the birdcage portion of a James Shell. These two measure 3" for the small piece and 3.5" for the larger one. Makes a very nice set from a battlefield that has produced very few relic finds.
