    Description

    Back in May of 1969, I was in the Army at Fort Lee. The Petersburg Battlefield Park was a short walk away and I spent a lot of free time over there. At one point after arriving at the Crater, I walked out behind the Crater to the road that leads into Petersburg and noticed that at that time they were clearing some property across the highway so I walked over there and after poking around for awhile eyeballed this Schenkl fuse there. Has been in my collection ever since. Time for it to move on so check it out. A perfect example of a Schenkl Artillery Fuse From behind the Crater at Petersburg. About as nice an example as you could ask for.
