DESCRIPTION:
There's a very small ding (slight flat spot) on the side of one of the bases. It's barely noticeable and certainly doesn't resign this handsome pair of vintage sterling silver salt and pepper shakers to the metal scrap pile. They're better than scrap, much better, with classic Colonial Revival, American Empire classical urn forms, with spade apex finials, reeded, fluted urn uppers and weighted, filled silver bases. They're marked
'Sterling Weighted'
on their base plates. They're otherwise clean and have only been gently polished with a fine silver rag and then rinsed with warm water. They haven't been chemically cleaned with a polishing agent or machine buffed with precious metal or sterling silver polishing pads. They don't suffer from any major, noticeable, depreciating, debilitating dings, dents, warping, deformities, unsightly episodes of oxidation, water damage or from being crushed. They're a handsome vintage pair of sterling silver 925 salt and pepper shakers and just in time for the upcoming holidays. Match this pair with your fine holiday china you've been waiting to take out of the sideboard. Very nice and quite clean. Your salt and pepper deserve them. Bon appetite!
