It's barely noticeable & certainly doesn't resign this handsome pr of vint sterling silver salt & pepper shakers to the scrap pile. They're better than scrap, much better, w/classic Colonial Revival, American Empire classical urn forms, w/spade apex finials, reeded, fluted urn uppers & weighted bases. They're marked 'Sterling Weighted' on their base plates. They're otherwise clean & have only been gently polished w/a silver rag & then rinsed w/warm water. They haven't been chemically cleaned w/a polishing agent or machine buffed w/precious metal or sterling silver polishing rags. They don't suffer from any major, noticeable, depreciating, debilitating dings, dents, warping, deformities, unsightly episodes of oxidation, water damage or from being crushed. They are a handsome pair & just in time for the holidays. Match this pr w/your fine holiday china you've been waiting to take out of the hutch.
