Metal Coca-cola privilege sign 10’ antique 1931 store advertisement metal sign. Condition is "Used". Wonderful weathered patina sign from the Cleveland Ohio area. This sign was produced in the middle of the Great Depression. The sign is about 10 ft. By 4.5 ft. It comes with a original wood frame border. In another 9 years this sign will be a century old. Not too many of these signs have survived.
The written part of the sign is overlaid on the larger metal sign with the bottle. The store could customize the panel above the Coca-Cola where it says Candy & Cigars & Soft Drinks to say whatever it wanted and is therefore called a privilege sign.
Patina sign gets a lot of attention. It is currently in my storage garage in Willoughby, Ohio.
