Comes from an estate of a woman from the Northeast who grew up in New York City. She worked at Harvard University for 27-28 years starting there at 50 plus years old in the early 1960's and retired and moved to Florida in the early 1990's. She was put in charge of the President of Harvard's mansion. The new President had a young family and did not want to reside in the mansion, so it was turned into a place for visitors and dignitaries to stay when they came to visit. She was told to revamp the old mansion and ended up selling the furniture and other prized possessions per her superiors orders. As she told me the story, "I made them A LOT of money in the process" Sadly, she passed away from Covid, alone in a New York Nursing home when her family took her back north at 93 years old. I believe this cannon was from the Northeast but I have no knowledge if this is Civil War or earlier. You be the judge...
