3 Vintage Pieces of Wood, (2 Cypress) for Woodcarving with Great Potential.  These have been on my carving bench for over a year and  I am not going to have time to carve them.  I am not very good at visualizing what a piece of wood can turn into but I thought I could with these 3 pieces.  The darker 2 pieces are cypress that were in the flower bed as a decoration.  These are the tops of that piece.  The tall 7" one I thought would be a standing rabbit.  On the shorter one I saw a face on top and hands half way down. The light one (unknown Wood that is 7" across) with the horizontal piece down looks like a reclining dog.  There are raised spots where the eyes would be.  When the horizontal piece is in the up position it looks to me like a dolphin.  My plan was to do a minimal amount of carving and a little coloring and let the wood tell the story.  I envy the folks in Florida that have the ability do this with wood found in the swamps.
I have  different cutouts and terrific carving and pattern books (including Tom Wolfe books) listed on Ebay.  If you purchase additional cutouts, carving books, carving tools or other items I would be glad to combine shipping to reduce your shipping costs.
