Hi! If you're like I was, you're son(s) keep growing/getting stronger and out growing their BBCOR -3 (drop 3) bats. It can be pretty costly so I talked to the Coach at CCS who's won a bunch of NC State Championships and he told me the Rawlings 5150 was the way to go for the money. I did the research and it turns out South Carolina used it in winning two National Championships and many of their players still use similar bats. Read the reviews and you'll see you can't beat them. In 2012 Rawlings released the 9 Machine 2-piece with their proven Exogrid technology. It has a less tapered barrel for a larger sweet spot than the original 5150. The bat speed is faster through the hitting zone and the feel at impact is smoother. Rawlings most comparable bat now is 9.
